The evaluation conducted by the German specialized magazine "Electric Drive," awarded Hyundai Ioniq 6 a perfect score of 5 out of 5 points in its electric car long-distance driving evaluation, known as the ED1000.

Over a period of two weeks and a total of 2,000 kilometers of real-road testing, Ioniq 6 was assessed on six criteria, including its range, charging speed, driving performance, comfort, quality, and convenience features.
Electric Drive, a bimonthly publication in Germany specializing in electric cars, conducts long-distance driving tests to provide various information about electric car performance.
Regarding the electric car features of the Ioniq 6, Electric Drive praised it as a perfect electric car choice for consumers, emphasizing that maintenance and charging performance are crucial factors in purchasing decisions for electric car buyers.

They specifically noted that despite unfavorable weather conditions with a lot of rain during the testing period and harsh driving conditions on various roads across Germany, the Ioniq 6 achieved an average efficiency of 5 kilometers per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
Additionally, Electric Drive highly evaluated the Ioniq 6 for its fast charging speed due to its 800V high-voltage system and its spacious interior thanks to its long wheelbase. They also praised its dynamic and agile cornering capabilities, as well as its smooth driving experience and comfort on flat roads.

Furthermore, Electric Drive mentioned that the Ioniq 6 was previously selected as the "World Car of the Year" (WCOTY) at the World Car Awards last year, and it has also won awards such as "2024 Ireland Car of the Year," "2024 Scotland Car of the Year," and "2024 Germany Car of the Year" in the New Energy category.
